  Physical Difficulties > General

June 16th, 2008:

I called Father Fontana to the hospital in Harvard, Illinois to visit my mother Larraine H. who fell on the floor at the nursing home in Harvard, Illinois.  She was bleeding from the brain that would not stop. The doctors said she was dying and only had 6 or 7 hours to live.  We called Father Fontana to come and give mother last rights on June 11, 2008.  He came and gave her last rights and then prayed over her.

Mother has mad miraculous recovery and bleeding stop soon after father Fontana left the hospital. Mother is now back at her nursing home and is doing very well.  Mother and the family are very grateful to Father Fontana coming.

Thank You,
Pat H.

April 4th, 2008:

In gratitude for release in my muscles and for release in my sorrow over my mother's pancreatic cancer and death
In gratitude for green, meaning life, and growth and prosperity and peace and joy

Those are the blessings I have received following the prayer of healing administered by Fr. Fontana at St. Charles in Oakes on Divine Mercy Sunday, 2008.

Further, I have a deep understanding of the role of suffering in our lives and the life of Christ. Part is due to the release in healing of the shock of my mother's cancerous condition and part is in connection with the reading of the mass today, second Friday after Easter.

The apostles rejoiced and continued preaching Jesus as the Messiah after being flogged by the Sanhedrin. The time frame is so close to Jesus' own flogging, and they were filled with the strength and joy of Pentecost by then; for them to see themselves as joining in the same sufferings as Jesus had endured in his love for us must have been what lead them in living out the same path as Jesus, the path of love, suffering love.

My release came about like this. I was back sitting in the pew with my friends I had come over to Oakes with on Divine Mercy Sunday. It was like a cloud presence of arms with the color green about it and the words "would you have taken away the cross I chose to make my way to heaven in reparation for my sins?" That would have been my mother. Friends had told me several years after her death that she (who with my dad had raised five children, three of whom were mentally retarded by PKU disease genetically) had hoped for a cross like cancer that she could have to prepare herself for heaven and repent of her sins.

A the same moment of release, I also knew it was Jesus' own words for his passion and death (and the humble hardships of his life prior to that as well as the opposition, etc., during his public ministry).

The green is a recognition of Mom's favorite living room color; a similar color I have had in my bedroom since two years ago. In other word's one I would recognize with her. Also, after her death, I have always pictured sitting on a bench in the green of a beautiful garden.

I wished to share this with you, holy shepherd, and I am glad for your Pentecost bravery in living out our faith.

Sincerely,

Loraine

From the Braaten Family, March 21st, 2008:

I wanted to let you know Julianna came through surgery just fine. She is now home getting back to playing just like before. Thanks be to God! Our family wants to thank you for your prayers for little Julianna. It is never easy to see your little one go through a process like this but what a blessing at the same time to be able to offer up this surgery on Good Friday . Our Heavenly Father is always watching over us. Praise be to God.

May you have Blessed Holy Week and a Joyful Easter!!

Peace of Christ,
The Braaten Family

Texas Healing Services Testimonies, March 2008:

A woman at the Lufkin service was walking around when she exclaimed “Where’s my cane, I forgot I needed my cane.” She was walking without pain, and without her cane!

January 14, 2008:

Thank you for your prayers.  I cannot begin to tell you how much better I feel.  My physical aches and pain, black circles under my eyes have all miraculously disappeared.  I am feeling so much better.  Many Thanks to you and Jesus.

From May 2007 Newsletter:

Healing of Physical Difficulties: Denver, Co: Just a short note to say “thanks” for your wise words and healing recommendations. Ever since I have focused in on the words, “Lord, I am not worthy to receive you. Only say the word and I will be healed!” My many injuries, aches and pains have gone away. It is the first time in 6 months that I am not experiencing pain. God bless you and your ministry….

Illinois: Dear Fr. Fontana…I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder and it just felt like a big knife through me and had been taking medication for one week. It just got worse. On the day it hurt the most I received your Newsletter and read it with faith. That night it dawned on me it was during and shortly reading this and thinking of Jesus’ healing love for us, that the stabbing pain had left and I could breath a full breath without pain. To God be the glory and Thanksgiving. He loves us so much!….Thank you Fr. Fontana for loving our Shepherd so much. He loves you and all his sheep too. Bless you…

From October 2006 Newsletter:

MT:---Father prayed over a young man who had many issues, was in a car wreck, his left leg was in a cast, had emotional, financial and spiritual difficulties because of this. As Father Fontana prayed for him, he fell, resting in the Spirit. Karl helped him get up and he walked over to his Dad without his crutches. His Dad was sitting in the pew crying and said, “He had no tendons left in his knee but was able to move and walk on it with no pain.” The young man left in a hurry to tell his wife the great news.

MT:---A woman came up for prayer, and was asked, “What do you want Jesus to do for you?” She told Father that after surgery on her back, she still had pain. She fell, resting in the Spirit and upon rising said, “Praise the Lord!” She gave an open witness of what the Lord had done for her, turning and rotating from side to side, over and back, and could even touch the floor without pain.

IL:---After many weeks of continued pain in her left hip, a woman asked Father Glenn for prayer. Since then she does not have the excruciating pain while sitting, walking or standing. “I do believe the prayer you said for me relieved the pain. Thank you so much for your prayer and kindness…”

Another letter reveals a woman who referred to her problem as a “hitch in my get-a-long” and after prayer she felt healing by the Holy Spirit…..Later she came to another service and asked for healing for a serious back problem. (I don’t have her letter here to refer to, sorry)…She told us of how she went back to her doctor for a report on recent x-rays and he revealed that her back had straightened out. She was praising God that she had gone for healing prayer from the Spirit of God through Father Fontana before she went for her scheduled x-ray.

IA:---“Dear Father Fontana, Thank you for praying on the phone with us. Physically I am doing so much better, Praise the Lord! Sunday was the first day in 10 months I had no bleeding, (colitis). I thank God for you and your ministry. We are going to ask our parish priest if we can have a healing mass with you here with us….”

From April 2006 Newsletter:

Diane writes…(very abridged) Diane had rectal bleeding and was directed to take a stool test which showed positive. “While I was sitting there listening to Father Fontana’s talk I felt like my eyes were drawn to his and I couldn’t move my eyes. It was like we were looking through each other and that was when I felt this deep very warm feeling going on in my abdomen and all around my mid area. After we had prayers Father took the monstrance to each and every one of us …my body then felt like it was on fire and I could not cool down for a long time. I realized then that Jesus had also healed my bursitis and I knew my colon problems were healed. I know that without a doubt that Jesus healed so many others that weekend. I saw a lot of miracles…I praise God every chance I get and without God there is nothing.” (Diane also enclosed medical documents proving her healings).

From March 1st, 2005 Newsletter:

From Yvonne in Quinnesec, Michigan: (edited) “During the month of November, Fr. Fontana was at St. Anne’s in Escabana, my sister was healed of diverticulosis……Since standing at the call of healing someone with that disease that night, she no longer has the problem….Also, her daughter in law attended the healilng service at Christ the King parish in Harvey, MI and she was healed of chronic severe headaches and bone pain. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS…..Also, concern over my 24 yr. old ADHD son kept me from sleeping, I would shake from the inside out, I did not want to see anyone, I would cry at the drop of a hat……Now I have peace that God is working in his life and will bring to fruition His Holy Will in my son’s life…..It feels so good to be at peace. It took some time for me to realize that God had used this method to help me. Praise Him!!”
