Physical Difficulties > Knee
Problems |
February 26th, 2008:
Dear Father Fontana:
I went to Sunday's mass at Our Lady of Hope and was moved by your sermon and the testimony of the woman who had a diseased lung. I planned to attend the healing mass on Monday evening and bring along a girlfriend and her husband and their child who has been diagnosed with autism. They were unable to attend since they had to be out of town that night for more testing. I decided to go anyhow and pray for their child. On my way out the door, my nine year old son (who had to stay home, he was running a fever) asked what I was going to ask for (he had heard your Sunday sermon also). I said baby Patrick and he suggested I ask for help with my arthritic knee which has prevented me from participating in many physical family activities for the last 4 years (unable to run, play tennis, ski, rock climb, etc.).
I had never attended a healing service before. I felt unworthy to ask for myself especially since it seemed so minor compared to all the people in wheel chairs and crutches that preceded me. I waited my turn and then asked for you to pray for me and my knee. The pain was gone instantly; I was able to genuflect (first time in over 2 years) on my way out of the church. This morning, I got up and instead of my usual exercise (a walk) I was able to run! I haven't been able to run in four years.
A mere thank you is not enough. You have had a tremendous impact on me and my faith. I have already shared my story with my immediate family and my parents and one brother. I fully intend to share with everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to pray for me. I am a different person.
Sincerely,
Linda Zuccari

November 9, 2004: A woman at the healing service was saddened that she
could no longer kneel to receive Jesus at Communion. She asked that Jesus
give her the ability to kneel. “I prayed over her and the Lord told me that
her knees were healed. I asked her to kneel down and she said that she
couldn’t because of the pain. I said, ‘stand in faith’. She slowly knelt
down at the altar rail and realized that she had no more pain. She stood up
and praised to Jesus, saying, “I can now receive my Lord when honoring Him
on my knees.”

January 27, 2004, Father Fontana was asked by a medical doctor to pray over
her right knee. The doctor was unable to bend the right knee and when
bending the right knee had very severe pain. An Orthopedic Doctor wanted to
correct he knee by an operation. Father Fontana prayed over her knee for a
total healing in the Name of Jesus. She told by Father Fontana right after
he prayed over her to bend down ands she did so free of pain with no knee
restriction or pain to the right knee. She was healed! The doctor is from
Illinois.
